Vacation Ownership, also known as a Timeshare, is a form of shared property ownership.  Through vacation ownership, you purchase a share of the resort, in the form of a specific unit and week, that you can use every year to visit the Acadia Village Resort, or exchange to travel all over the world.

There are many benefits to Vacation Ownership but, if you ask an owner, they are apt to tell you that they now make sure to set aside time for vacationing and, in the process, create lasting memories with their friends and family.  They would also share that they love the fact that their very low maintenance fees allow them to stay at more than 3000 different resorts all around the world for free!  As an owner, they also enjoy access to the Acadia Village Resort pool, hot tub, fitness room, and game room and get special owner rental rates whenever their travels bring them to Ellsworth.

Yes, you would be deeded a specific week and unit at Acadia Village Resort. Once deeded, you become responsible for the maintenance fee and real estate taxes for the unit/week that you own.

We at Acadia Village Resort want to make Vacation Ownership available to everyone, therefore, our weeks start at only $200, making ownership attainable to everyone.

As an owner, you are responsible for yearly maintenance fees and real estate taxes.  The maintenance fees vary depending on the type of unit you own.  They cover the costs of staffing and upkeep for the unit and resort.  Because we are a Home Owners Association and don’t have to generate big profits for a large corporation our maintenance fees are incredibly low.  Where you might spend upwards of $3000 per year at a corporate branded resort, the average maintenance fee at the Acadia Village Resort is under $625 per year.  (And you can still stay at the same 3000+ Interval International resorts!)

That is one of the many great things about Vacation Ownership you no longer have to go to the same vacation spot year after year unless you choose to do so. We are affiliated with Interval International which is a comprehensive exchange program with over 3,000 resorts in over 80 nations. If you decide to become a member of Interval you will be able to take your week here at Acadia Village Resort and “deposit” it with Interval International and travel whenever & wherever you want based on availability.
